How PIE Helps Nonprofit Teams

Dear Nonprofit Leader,

Can your nonprofit benefit from passive, recurring donations that do not require annual capital campaign resources to help fund your annual operating budget?  Duh, that's a dumb question.  We know!

PIE’s proven funding model helps nonprofit teams like yours to build reliable, passive, long-term recurring donation streams you can budget on. These donation streams are not tied to the financial performance of your corporate partners and are not susceptible to frustrating personnel changes either.

Any qualifying business that wants to deepen its support to your cause can now do so without any out-of-pocket expenses or increases in cost, risk, complexity, or major distractions.

Here’s how easy it is for your team to find additional donation streams with PIE’s proven nonprofit funding model:

1) Make a Qualified Shortlist: Start with a list of 3-5 business owner or CEO/President relationships who are purpose-driven, support the work you do, and would LOVE to support you even more. Here are the top three shortlist candidates:

  • BUSY RESTAURANTS & BAR OWNERS: Any owners of high-volume bars and restaurants who would love to embed purpose into every card transaction of their business are a great fit.

  • SIZEABLE COMPANIES: Most companies with 50+ employees and/or doing $5M in sales must consume plenty of qualifying services like Microsoft, Google, Cloud, Phone, Paymnts, etc to operate.

  • RETAILERS: Any purpose-driven business that sells to the public either online or in person with over $500,000 in annual credit card volume should talk to PIE about having every purchase create a donation to your cause. Simply ask the leadership how much they are processing annually to add them to your qualified shortlist.

2) Make the Intro, Attend the Meeting: Your ask to them is simple – 15 minutes. Make an introduction to the PIE team via a short, informal 15-minute discovery call with that leader.  Our calendar link is here.   That’s it.  This is the ideal first step.  You will be invited and should attend the call so you can deepen your understanding of the PIE value proposition in every meeting to help in future discussions.

In our 15-minute call, we’ll explain how we work our magic.  Hopefully, this results in PIE being directed to a finance or IT leader in that company so we can kick off our free, no-obligation review of at least one target expense.  Once we complete the review and share our findings, we almost always end up helping the company create a passive, recurring 4 to 5-digit donation made by PIE to your nonprofit that does not cost the company a dime.

3) Promote the PIE Partnership via your Custom Landing Page: We’ll create a custom link you can share in capital campaigns, on your website & social, and at events. See a sample of a PIE landing page we will build for you here.

4) Enjoy passive, recurring donations: PIE will send your donation yearly on behalf of the new PIE member partner.  You should recognize this support and continue all normal capital campaigns.  View this donation as an augmentation to their current donations.  During the entire process, we make clear to your corporate partners that the PIE donation augments, and should never replace, their regular cash or in-kind donations you rely on.

We’re looking forward to being of service to your team, community, and corporate partners!

With gratitude,

The PIE Team
