“Thanks to PIE, we've learned how to make our operating expenses work in favor of the community. Without adding costs or complicating our workflow, we've been able to better support local nonprofits. PIE's procurement model is a revelation, and I encourage every leader with a social mission to explore it. The experience of leveraging PIE's network for the benefit of our chosen local charity has been incredibly rewarding.”

Here are the simple and proven steps you’ll take to transform boring expenses into exciting donations:

Step 1: Qualify

Most businesses have at least one expense bucket that can be purpose-powered with the proven PIE model.

PIE creates a new recurring donation from this expense to a cause your team loves, without increasing cost, complexity, or major distractions.

Estimate the impact of one or more PIE services. If the impact is appealing to you, create a portal account and begin your review.

One of Dr. Bronner’s main missions is to donate to charities. Having the opportunity to do that, from a department that normally can’t do so, the IT department, is great. Jamie and the team react quickly to provide us with what we need. I’ve been surprised by the level of service PIE provides us. It’s excellent.”

James Anctil, IT Manager, Dr. Bronners

Step 2: The PIE Review

Once you have identified at least one qualified service you want to explore, PIE will perform a free, no-obligation review of that service.

This step only takes 15-30 minutes from your finance or IT team. An NDA is optional during this step.

“The value of corporate partnerships like the one between PIE, Sensiba, and Bethlehem Inn is immense. It goes beyond mere financial contributions; it's about creating lasting change by harnessing the resources already present in our business community. By unlocking these resources, we can initiate transformative efforts that benefit everyone involved. This partnership marks the beginning of something truly game-changing for our team and our community.”

Gwenn Wysling, Former Executive Director, Bethlehem Inn

Step 3: The Proposal

Once we complete the review, PIE will send you a proposal summarizing any potential cost savings and the estimated recurring donation PIE will make to your chosen nonprofit partner.

The proposal will also outline the estimated time and onboarding resources required. There is no cost or obligation.

“Until now, my department has never had the opportunity to directly generate impact metrics. PIE and their team were knowledgeable, professional, diligent, and a pleasure to work with. Our IT team is delighted to have found a simple yet powerful way to optimize our budget and actively participate in the company’s mission to use our businesses as a force for good. A very rewarding engagement!”

Igor Zaika, CTO, Sensiba

Step 4: Onboard

Onboarding is always done with the requirements of zero downtime and minimal disruptions front and center.

Generally, the time required for onboarding can be measured in minutes or hours rather than days or weeks.

Fun Fact: In six years, PIE has had ZERO downtime across all our implementations. References available on request.

“PIE purpose-powered our Microsoft 365 for our team in just 30 minutes.  We’ve been using it for years now with zero issues.  The process was painless.  Our team is delighted to know that every email or Teams Meeting is helping support our nonprofit partners.  I encourage purpose-led companies to check out PIE’s Purpose-Powered Microsoft offerings.”

Matt Palmer, Analyst and Systems Admin, Puffin Drinkwear

Step 5: Activate

This is the fun part!

You’re now a Certified PIE Member. Now what?

Engage your team, elevate your brand, and deepen your impact by activating your PIE partnership. Here are a few ideas:

  • Host a free, all-hands launch presentation to invigorate culture with PIE’s founder Jamie Bianchini as the speaker.

  • Use the Certified PIE Member badges in your collateral

  • Create internal or public-facing assets to elevate brand & engage your team

“PIE helped us build Systematic Giving into the foundation of our operations. PIE helped us purpose-power our phones, webinar, email, and QuickBooks services without downtime or any major disruptions. The ROI of this engagement for our nonprofit community partners, our team, and our brand is remarkable.”

Kelley Pecoraro, Director of Finance and Administration at RealWealth.

“I was part of the team that helped execute PIE’s Purpose-Powered Google Workspace and Go2Webinar services.  These are two mission-critical services for us. Both services were implemented seamlessly with no downtime and practically zero distractions.  PIE did the heavy lifting and we’ve been using these services for nearly two years without a hitch.  This is a fantastic offering and a delightful team to work with.”

We Make it Easy as PIE to Create More Impact

Don’t take our word for it. Here are a few short videos from impact leaders sharing their experiences of becoming members of the PIE nonprofit funding movement.

Our Mission

At PIE, our mission is to liberate available capital from our global economy by transforming essential operating expenses into recurring donations that help solve our most challenging social and environmental issues.  By redirecting 50% of our recurring revenue received through our purpose-driven services brokerage, we provide nonprofit teams with a passive, non-distracting, and non-dilutive source of capital to increase their efficiency in making the impact they desire.

Although PIE members can choose any social impact organization their team desires, we encourage our members to support social impact causes in the areas of poverty, hunger, education, and gender equality.  For our environmental impact vision, and encourage our members to support high-impact, cost-effective teams tackling the climate crisis in the areas of clean energy, deforestation, and nature-based innovations.

The PIE Theory of Change

The Challenge

Business leaders are expected to help solve social and environmental issues while still driving profitability and growth.

Problem: Donations from Profits are Insufficient

In most funding models, donations are only available after a company pays operational expenses. This small slice of profits limits a company’s ability to say “yes” to great causes worthy of support.

53% of nonprofits are underfunded*

How much additional impact is possible with increased funding?

Our Solution: Transform Operating Expenses Into Passive, Recurring Donations
