How Eco Arbor Designs turned everyday business expenses into a child’s education sponsorship

Good Hope School sits on a small piece of family land in rural southwestern Uganda, founded in 2007 by a young teacher named Innocent Tumuheki to give vulnerable children access to education, a safe home and a future worth believing in. Today, 140 children are enrolled; half are orphaned or extremely needy. The school runs on $365 per child per year, one dollar a day.

Eco Arbor Designs already donates 1% of every project to Habitat for Humanity. When they joined PIE and chose Good Hope School as a nonprofit partner, a portion of their everyday payment-processing expenses began generating something they had never generated before: a child sponsorship, covering one child’s full year at Good Hope School.
